Chrysler Nassau Concept: the lowdown
You're looking at Chrysler's new sampler for a shooting brake: the Nassau concept newly unveiled in Detroit. Design boss Trevor Creed heralded it as 'a new, more emotional Chrysler.' Although the same size as the mean-'n'-moody 300C saloon, the Nassau is designed to look smaller, with more delicate surface treatments, a subtler new eggcrate grille and a slimmer, more European hatchback rear end. The Nassau portrays more compact dimensions, despite rolling on huge 10-spoke, 22in alloy wheels.
Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 - perhaps the best value for money super SUV
Jeep has announced that the most powerful new Grand Cherokee – the SRT8 – will cost £58,995 in the UK. The 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee looks to be a very good effort from Chrysler, and it has a real fighting chance of seriously taking on the luxury SUV models from Europe. But one model really stands out – the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8.
It’s getting silly out there. Aston Martin has this afternoon announced that it is to cut around a third of jobs at its Gaydon facility. That’s 300 full time and 300 part time.
